Pulled the boat out today to do the 20 hr service. After I got done I figured since the boats out I might as well take it for a troll. Got a last minute call to Gadgetman and we where headed to the Port Of Sacramento. Launched at 1:42 pm and was trolling the Channel at 1:57 pm. I get the first line side which was 20 inches. At 3:10 pm Gadgets rod double over and the drag sings. He fights the fish all over the channel. Once the fish went clear to the other side of the channel and back. After the long battle we get the big fish in. The digital scale read 26.11 lbs. After a quick read of the scale and a pic the fish was released unharmed. Before the end of the day be got two more stripers 23 and 20 1/2 inches. The big fish hit a deep diver pink Bomber and other fish hit a clown color DD P-Line Preditor. We trolled in 17 to 23 ft of water. Set backs was 105 on the inside and 135 on the outside. Trolled at 2.4 mph. No scents where used.
