My brother in law Bill joined me for his first ever Kokanee trip. Launched at 7:10 am. Headed straight to the Big Island and wasted to much time there. No fish. Headed for the Ranch House where we started putting some fish in the boat. We ended up getting 7 fish to the boat and got another four LDR's. The fish we kept was 13 1/2,14 1/2,15 1/2,12,12,14, and 13 inches. Best set up was a Vances copper pink butt with a pink RGT. Second was a Green/ silver GVF dodger and a GVF green beaded bugger. Best depth was 45 ft. Speed was 1.2 mph. Kok special was the scent.
Stats- L- 50* H- 80*, water temp- 76.2*, water level 10ft from full, clarity 22ft, skies- sunny, winds - sw 8-11 mph, Hrs fished 7:51 am till 2:15 pm.
