Kevin invited Josh and I out for a crab and ling trip so we got ready and even with iffy conditions at best we set out to crab around Carmet. The wind was blowing as we headed to Bodega but it seemed doable when we arrived. If nothing else we would drop pots and head in for breakfast and a few hrs later pick them up.We got to our crab grounds and set 8 pots and decided to head up to Ft Ross and Rock fish.We had 10-12ft swells and I didnt fare well and after an hr or so I had bird nested one reel and had broke off twice on the other...I sat down. Junky got some good lings and a good rock but missed Josh's big ling :( after a few hrs we headed back to the pots and pulled 70 + BIG Crab we took our 30 and headed to the lot to cook the catch.

Thanks again Kevin we had a great time!!

Nice post guys. We were out saturday too. Bout the same results. Definately bumpy heading out. Think alot of guys stayed home due to reports. Good for us fishing/cabbin was good. We ended the day with 4 nice lings and released a few, limits o dungies for four, and of course some rocks. Made for some good eats. My buddie CJ (str8fishon) was back out sunday. Weather was better but bite was not. Thanks Dave
