Josh and I again gave the Salmon another shot of going home with us.We had planed to go out the Gate but the fog was so thick they said you couldnt see past the bow. We went to Bodega and headed south and fished from the point to past Elephant rock and picked up a small ling and a rocky. We picked up and headed north to the Russian and put out again. At 3:00 while trolling in 40' of water we look back and one rod has released and looks stuck in the bottom we make a quick turn to try to release the snag but the "snag " is moving .At first I was concerned we had tangled with another boat the way the line just went out but soon this fish was streaming for Japan. We killed the kicker and fired the main and followed the fish out into the deep.At times we were going 5 mph and this fish was right under the boat. This fish took us out 3 miles from where I hooked it.Well I tried for 1Hr to see if we could get a glimpse of whatever it was that I was fighting,After 1HR the leader finely broke and we never say our guest. We were told by some it was most likely a thresher shark .I will say it was the biggest or strongest fish I have ever fought.

As always a real pleasure fishing with you my friend till next trip.

Another great report even though the fishin sucked. To bad about the line breaking on that submarine. That would have been reel interesting to find out what it was.

Rich I hope your shoulders are feelin better. :)
