My friend Steve Tucker invited me to join him for a trout try at Collins lake. After doing a little home work I found out that the lake is pretty murkey from the run off. Launched at 7:22 am. The water indeed was a bit murkey but not as bad as I thought it would be. Steve wanted to cross the lake and dunk power bait. I'am a die hard troller but Captain Steve made a good call. Crossed the lake and anchored in 10 ft of water and set out four rods with green and rainbow power bait. At 12:46 pm we had our ten nice hard fighting rainbows. Fish where 13,16,14 1/2, 14,13, 16, 17, 13,13 and 12 1/2 inches. I was impressed at the fight of these fish. They scrapped hard and pulled drag.
