MJK invited me and Kokoloco and a few others for a stay at his beautifull log cabin in Truckee. Today we launched at Donner for a late season kokanee try. Launched at 6:30 am. Headed over to the South Shore and put down four rods at 6:38. I ended up wit the first fish at 6:44 am. The fish was a dink kok at 7 inches. From then on it was fish after fish. We ended up getting 22 fish to the boat. Fish where 7,7 1/2,9,13 1/2, 9,7,13 1/2, 14,5,9,7,10,10,14,14 1/2,11, 15 1/4, 12 1/2,14 1/4, 14 1/2, 10 and 14 1/2 inches. We also had 11 LDR's and SDR's We kept 10 of the bigger fish and let the rest go. The water was cold so all that was released lived. The best set ups was GVF Lures all the way. They Just Rocked. Top two was a Pink/ Silver GVF dodger and a pink/ glow Preminum UV spin bug. Next was a GVF orange/ yellow dodger and a GVF orange Beaded Bugger. Out of all the fish brought in 16 fish where caught on GVF Lures and dodgers.
Best corn scent was Tuna oil . Set backs was 32 ft on the back riggers and 25 ft on the front riggers. Best speed was 1.4 mph. Best depth was 47 ft and 55 ft.
