Kokoloco joined me for a salmon troll. Stopped at Wimpy's for a nice early breakfast then on to Vieira to Launch. Once there the wind was blowing good. Probley a nice 15 to 18 mph. We had sheep all day. Started trolling from the ramp at 7:22 am. At 9:38 Koko hooks up and lands a 7.8 lb king. We ended up trolling till 3 pm for no more fish. Koko's fish hit a double bladed Silver Tron with red and pearl beads. With the wind we could only troll up stream which the best speed was .9 mph.

FishJunky,
I'm getting alot of pressure to take some buddys out for salmon. I've been on the Sac a few years back , but never the delta. Less pressure there than say Verona or even Meridian? When trolling the Silvertrons, what kind of a weight setup to keep it down on the bottom? Thanks for the posts.

Hello Gabbsdad, There's going to be alot of pressure everywhere on the Sac. I think the best place though is Isleton. The reason is the area you troll is alot longer than Verona or Discovery Park. At Isleton troll between the mouth and the Isleton Bridge. The way you troll could change alot depending on the flows. Yesterday I trolled Silver Trons with a splitter. The long end of the spitter goes to your lure. Short end goes to you weight. I like a 36 inch leader to my lure and 12 inches to my weight. Make sure you rweight is hitting bottom evey once in a while. I've also done real well trolling Wiggle Warts. Chrome has brought me good luck. To troll Warts just tie one on and let out about 130 ft.
