Met up with James in Angles Camp and rode out to the lake .Launched before dawn and headed out to find some fish. James rod goes off first and he battles a 6 # brown to the net .After a quick pic we sent her back to her home. The bite never did go off we struggled to find 6 fish who wanted to play.I got #2 (ditch pickle)on a countdown Rapala (brown pattern) and # 3 was on the new "Honey dripper" dodger in chartreuse.James got a 10" bow and then saw the eagle he handed off the rod to me so he could man his camera.Well I got a fish in the net ,net in one hand rod in the other ,James looking up at the bird and when I turn around he is about to do a "Dennis" move

and we're inches from grounding the boat!! James was able to pull the trolling motor just in time and I had thrown the kicker in neutral.whew disaster averted

Another great day on the water with friends retirement is good!
