My friend Stephanie and GVF joined me at the Port for a striper troll. Launched at 9am to fish the out going tide. It was real foggy so we spend sometime in the Turning Basin. No luck there and the fog lifted at bit so we headed down the Channel. We worked from the Fertilizer Plant to the second set of power lines. We ended up getting 9 stripers to the boat with 6 of them being keepers. (19 to 21 inches) The best set up was the Fast Trac color P-Line preditor with a 1 1/2 oz Bucktail. Set backs was 105 ft on the inside and 130 on the outside. We also ran the new popular Alabama Rig. Looked killer in the water but it was no winner. Best speed was 2.4 mph, depth 25 to 32 ft.
