Was thinking of taking out woody yesterday morning and had got the small boat ready to go for an early assault on some Kokes and then back home before noon! There was even a rumor that I might see a face or two I knew.Well the grandson called and asked if he could come over and build a few lures to give as birthday presents to a couple friends so when 3 o' clock came around I rolled over and went back to sleep.
When I picked Aidan up we talked about the lures he was going to make and he was going to spend the night so I asked him "what do you think about going to the lake and cooking dinner?" and he said" Steak at the lake!". We built a few lures for his friends and packed up and got the big boat ready.
Launched in at 5 or so and headed up wind (A good stiff breeze was blowing) and put one of the lures he built and a selection of GVF lures.I saw the deep (50') rod bounce twice and then stop dang, drive by. Time to cook some dinner I cooked us up New York and some broccoli which Adan and I ate very readily :D
Again the deep rod starts a bounce and stops  another drive by. We trolled some more and Aidan wanted to do some casts of the front deck.We gave it till 8 and the 2 drive bys were all we had to show for it oh well good times with my
Grandson.
