This was the last Sunday of summer vacation for the kids and Brooke hadn't got a solo trip out on the boat with Gpa. We took Ole Smokey and her Dad to Stumpy for some fresh fish for dinner. I set the first rod up with a Cantaloupe Spinnbug on the down-rigger at 10 and Broke picked a lure and dodger for the other side a silver body with purple and blue stripes and hammered blade. We topped lined her choice. After a bit I lowered the DR and found the fish at 25' Brooke reeled the fish in and we put it in the box after a bleed and cleaning. We put the other rig in the other DR and down to 25' and soon it was fish on and this is a "KEN" rod just the right size for a 6 year old(soon to be 7 Gpa) another fish for dinner.I gave the box to Brooke and said "pickagain" and she picked a silver/blue spinbug and that hooked fish# 3 so I let her pick the lures for the next set.Neil reeled a couple in and Brook got 3 out of the 4 fish she had on.We also picked up a Catfish way out in deep water at 25 OTW ? I havent seen that before. We have got them in close but I didnt know they would traverse the lake like that a lesson learned .The Cat went back Neil didnt want to work that hard for dinner.

We brought 5 to the boat (3 by Brooke) and headed home.
I saw Gary out there and his son and they did real good and I guess Pearl Bikini was fishing there too .A beautiful place and full of memories with the boys growing up.Now its time to make more with the Grand kids.
