Thanks Big Ken for dragging out the Rouge and hauling us over the summit for a COLD day of fishing. We headed out to the places we were lucky before and the wind was already pushing us around.Kevin's rod was firet so he took back the dollar I took from him last week but Ken is short a buck, the fish was on the new Beaded bugger in Chartruese.Image

On we went testing the Beaded Buggers and Jello shots and some of the new beaded spinners in foilistic .We released a few small ones and one 15" one due to a GVF release LOL

I think I was pouring a Duck fart when I see Kevin with one of my rods and he's got a good fish on turns out to be a 3-4 lb Mack on the NEW Aurora Borealis spinnerImage

Great times in the cold with some great freinds I'm sure Kevin will fill in the details.

Thanks Again Ken for the invite. Like always it was a blast to fish with you and Rich.

Here my report,

Launched at 6:35 am. It was windy cloudy and pretty dang cold. We headed for the Truckee Arm and had all lines in at 7:01 am. We had instant action and it lasted all day. I ran the new GVF green beaded bugger with a GVF pink/ green dodger. My other rod I ran a watermellon GVF bug spinner with a pink chrome Wildthing dodger. I was up first with the green bugger set up. For first fish I got a buck each from the crew. LOL.. Rich ran a pink beaded bugger with a GVF purple Iridescent dodger and it kicked butt. Ken tested mainly the Jello Shot line of GVF spin bugs. He also did very well. For the day we got 14 kokes to the boat we kept 11 of the bigger fish and released the rest. We also caught a 3 1/2 lb Mack. Kokes where 10,14 1/2, 14 1/2,15,13,14,12,15 1/2,13,15,13,12,14, and 11 inches. Short set backs worked best 15 to 22 ft, speed was all over the place due to wind but around 1.4 seemed to work, best depth was 17 and 27 ft. kok special and also krill was best corn scent.

Stats, Air Temp L 31* H- 44*, water temp- 48.2*, water level looked like it was 8 ft from full, Skies- cloudy, Precipitation- On and off again light rain and light snow, wind- 10 to 20 mph. White caps most of the day. Hrs fished 7:01 am till 12:47 pm.
