Kokoloco invited me for my first ever crabbing trip. We launched his 17ft North River Bayhawk at Nick's Cove at 7:35 am and headed to the back side of Hog Island. Dopped pots in 20 to 25 ft of water. While the pots soaked we drifted for Halibut or what ever would bite. No luck all day. We ended up pulling the pots 3 times for the day and ended up with 9 keeper dungies and 11 keeper red rocks. Those Lake Camanche trout heads and carcass's worked good as bait. Water temp was 50.7*, clarity 16 ft, tides- H-4:17 am, Low- 9:30am, H- 2:41 pm, skies was clear and sunny with light haze, Fished from 8:13 am till 2:10 pm.
It was real cold when we got there. Frost on the dock and everywhere. Sam bundled up.
